The top quality photography magazine that is aimed, unsurprisingly, at professional photographers – though amateurs will find it of interest as well – Photo Professional is a fascinating insight into the professional photographers’ world, and an essential read for any who take snaps for a living.

Inside you’ll find all the latest news about upcoming kit and photography in general, alongside lots of useful and practical advice. The Pro Academy section is guaranteed to help you improve your technique, and the Business section is designed to help you maximise your earnings and efficiency. There is also a comprehensive review section examining the latest cameras, lenses, albums, bags and more and great features on photography throughout, and all this is illustrated, of course, with exceptionally good photography.

Buy a single copy of PROFESSIONAL PHOTO or a subscription of your desired length, delivered worldwide. Current issues sent same day up to 3pm! All magazines sent by 1st Class Mail UK & by Airmail worldwide (bar UK over 750g which may go 2nd Class).

Photo Professional is an excellent publication that serves a specific purpose – targeting the photographers who do it for a living rather than for a passion, and being filled with useful and practical advice that will help you improve not only your picture taking abilities but your burgeoning business as well. What makes Photo Professional stand out from the others however is the quality of the writing and the advice, and the interesting features that make this magazine far more than a simple guide or reference work.

One feature in the May 2012 issue particularly caught our eye – a photography project where the creator had gone out to capture images of some of the photographers who have taken the most famous images in the world, holding their image. Stop us if that all sounds a little too meta, but it is fascinating seeing the people who took some of the astonishing images that are now world famous – think ‘tank man’ notoriety. This helps remind us that photos are taken by people; that images do not simply spring out of the air when needed. Photographers risk life and limb sometimes to capture an image that defines an even or a decade, and it is good to see them getting some of the recognition that they deserve. NB
