How to use the site
We’ve been in the magazine business since 1898, so we must know how to look after our customers. We are open from 9am-5pm on +44 (0)1227 277 248 At Newsstand, we send out all our magazines ourselves. If you do purchase with us, your subscription or single copy can start immediately if in stock and should you wish to amend your order or make a query you can telephone us and we will be in the right place to help you. We do not renew subscriptions automatically – you can choose to renew as and when you would like to.
With Newsstand, you can:
- Search thousands of current magazine covers from all over the world
- search for your favourite topics using out magazine concierge, and receive updates on your favourite celebrities' coverage
- Buy single issues or subscriptions of the length you choose – despatched worldwide
- Have copies sent immediately, if you order before 3pm and they are in stock
- Add a gift card either by post or email – and choose the date this is sent
- Receive updates on new magazine issues; so you’ll know when they are in the UK shops and online with us.
All prices include delivery by First Class post or Airmail (NB Occasionally, children's magazines with bulky free gifts may be sent 2nd Class). We are unique in this respect. If you would like magazines delivered abroad, please change the delivery destination on the right hand side and all the prices will adjust across the site to include delivery to that destination.
Once you have found a magazine you would like, you may choose whether to buy a single issue or a subscription. For single issues please choose the current or next issue button below the image. For subscriptions, please select the number of issues you would like using the slider and then “Add to Basket”.
It is possible to change the first issue delivered in both instances using the drop down menu on the next page. You may also increase the quantity of magazines delivered.
PLEASE NOTE: Issues are consecutive editions of a magazine, if you require more than one copy of the same edition then please change the “QTY”.
Payment: We take most credit and debit cards as well as Barclays Pingit mobile payments. With Pingit there may be a delay until office opening hours in processing your order fully. You can also contact us to pay by cheque or bank transfer.
You can amend, cancel, pause and restart your subscriptions at will, either online using your account or just give us a call and we’ll do that for you. Refunds are at 95% of remaining value – unless we have somehow not delivered in which case a full refund is available, of course.
We’ll email you when we send the penultimate and last issues of any subscription you have with us – if you don’t want any more, just ignore them.
Finally, a word of caution: Selling magazines is (unfortunately) not like selling fridges. We carry around 3,500 different magazines that change issue every week, month or longer. We dedicate huge amounts of time to ensuring we receive all the magazines required for fulfilling our orders. However, in some instances we may fail, particularly on some imports and magazines where there is a sudden large demand. We are always happy to refund in full at any time should you not be willing to experience a delay. Thankfully, this is very rare.
