The magazine for creative embroiders

It seems that hobbies and crafts are things that transcend national boundaries, if Creative Machine Embroidery is anything to go by. When we first got handed this magazine from our sourcing department with barely a word, we instantly assumed that it was a UK magazine, following so well the style and tone of the excellent UK magazines there are on the market that cover this sort of thing.

Well, as we flicked through the magazine something started to feel a little off in our assumptions. Things weren’t quite spelled right, the odd ‘u’ missing from words like ‘colour’, maybe an extra ‘z’ here and there where there should be an ‘s’. It was a relief then to find out that this was simply because the magazine hails from the sunny world of Florida USA (also known as the sunshine state), rather than us losing our minds.

We think that there is quite the advantage to having a magazine from the US in your collection of hobby and craft publications. Not only are you going to get access to a whole range of different designs from American creators that haven’t found their way across the Atlantic, you get a magazine with a sunny and cheerful perspective on life, something that’s a nice occasional anti-dote to the perpetual grey drizzle to be found in our fair land.
