BODY LANGUAGE was born from the belief that queer erotica is far more expansive than it is often allowed to be. Erotica is not only fantasy or explicitness. It is also tension, ritual, vulnerability, memory, obsession, humor, shame, tenderness, domination, comfort, loneliness, worship, curiosity, grief and release. Sometimes it arrives through graphic physicality; sometimes through a glance, a repeated gesture, or the silence that follows, and sometimes creates, intimacy. The works gathered in this inaugural edition explore that full emotional and erotic spectrum. Some pieces lean unapologetically into pornography and physical hunger. Others approach desire more quietly and indirectly.
