What is Newsstand?

The purpose of this service is to enable people to buy a subscription to any of the magazines listed, and have them regularly despatched by Post to their door, anywhere in the world. England has one of the richest publishing traditions in the world with magazines catering for almost any conceivable interest. An annual subscription represents one of the best presents you can buy, especially for people living a long way from home.

Pricing Information - Choose a Destination and a Currency

When calculating the price we include the cost of the postal delivery. So the first thing we ask you to do when entering the website, is tell us the country to which you wish the magazine to be sent, and the currency in which you would prefer to be billed – see the blue boxes in the top right hand side of the screen. Every price shown will then be calculated on the basis of delivery to that destination. Note that you can change the destination at the billing page if you change your mind.

What special offers are there?

There are two types of special offers, those that are provided on specific magazines provided by the magazine themselves; and general discounts on all titles that are offered by our marketing partners. The latter are made available to you by entering the Gift Code in the blue box in the top right hand side of the screen.

Search for a magazine

a. By Browsing the categories
All the magazines have been categorised into major categories and sub-categories . You can browse through these categories to find all the magazines covering the area that you are interested in. We are partnering with the magazines to enable them to add additional information on the site to help you make your choice. This is still in the early stages but will eventually include cover shots, past stories, future plans etc.

b. By Searching
In addition you have the facility to use the search box in the top left side of the screen. Put in the word that you are interested in, say ‘fish’ and it will immediately do a search for all magazines with the word ‘fish’ in the title. It will also show you the Category and sub-category in which the magazine is placed, so you can then explore that whole sub category for other magazines in the subject area which perhaps have only the word ‘trout’ or ‘carp’ in their title.
As more information is added by the magazines, the search engine will also look at the additional information for matches.

Where are my other items?

If you are currently logged out, which means that we cannot display any previous items you may have already set up in your MyNewsstand account.

What is MyNewsstand?

This is a free service that gives you a secure area of the website to keep track of your subscription. Those that you have bought, those that you have marked as of interest ‘my wish list’, and those that we think may be of interest to you.

How do I Track my subscriptions?

Initially we will only be showing the start and end dates of your subscriptions and the addresses to which you have them sent. In the future we hope to be able to link it to the despatch process so you will be able to see the date on which the last issue was sent out to you.

What is my wish list?

Initially this is just a list of magazines that you have added to your wish list. We hope to be able to give you an alternative password that enables your friends and family to see which magazines you are interested in and buy them for you.

Placing Orders

Placing an order

Simply click on the icon of a shopping basket next to any title and it will be added to your shopping basket. When you have finished adding titles, you click on the menu bar at the top marked ‘My Basket’ and review your titles. You will have the opportunity to save the details of your purchase for future reference through the MyNewsStand section of the site. Follow the step by step instructions to pay by credit card via our secure service.

Placing serveral orders to different delivery address

If you wish you can purchase several subscriptions and have them sent to different destinations. First add them to your shopping basket, the price will be calculated on the default country destination you have chosen. There is a facility to alter the destination address for each subscription at the delivery tab of the order confirmation process.

Including a gift card with the first issue

If the purchase is a present for somebody else, we will include a gift card with the first issue of the subscription. You choose the text to be included.

Credit card payment

All credit card information is transferred over a secure link to the merchant account. The default address is assumed to be your card statement address which will be used for credit confirmation purposes.

What if I'm not satisfied with the order?

If you are not satisfied with the subscription you have ordered, you can change to an alternative subscription of equivalent value. Email subscriptions@newsstand.co.uk
