According to the creators of the magazine, the interesting choice of name for this magazine is in the acknowledgement that women have a hard time getting their work into print and that men are more prone to dyslexia than women. It is certainly different but we think it gets its point across nicely. The magazine is a great independent literary magazine designed just for women who simply enjoy writing. The magazine’s main aim is to leave the reader feeling more confident and improve their writing ability.
The magazine will contain a variety of different features which will include sections on new writing which will provide readers with a sneak peak at the work of up-coming and established writers. There are also useful inspiration sections which often provide invaluable articles which deconstruct certain styles of writing to explain the bare-bones of the style and what you need to do to achieve the same effect.
There will also be masterclass sections which focus on a particular theme such as crime writing or ghost stories and gives advice on the best ways to go about creating similar work. For example when writing a crime novel it is best to end each chapter with a intriguing cliff hanger or a surprising turn of events which will draw the reader to the next chapter. Or it can sometimes be a good idea to avoid using clichés with a crime novel as the story can become too obvious and stereotypical. We think advice like this is excellent and any reader can get some great ideas and a useful starting point.
