Fans of the iconic Marvel comics will really enjoy these instalments of exciting super hero based action. The magazine provides short sections of comic strips for the readers to get a quick fix of their favourite heroes. Each magazine instalment will provide a quick recap of the story so far so readers will never be left out of the loop with what has been occurring. (Although having a subscription from Newsstand would mean that you will never miss an issue!)
There will also usually be regular sections called ‘Earth’s mightiest readers’ which gives readers the chance to comment on the previous instalments of the magazine and voice their opinions. There seems to be a theme emerging of readers exclaiming that they want to ‘Make Mine a Marvel.’ It seems that Marvel comics are still as popular today as they were years ago.
Super hero films are doing extremely well at the cinema Box office at the moment. It looks like everyone can’t get enough of brave superhuman hero films. We doubt that comics like the ones featured in this magazine will ever go out of fashion. There is a huge cult following of classic comics today. Our favourite hero film of the last few years was definitely ‘Kick Ass’ which involved a teenager deciding to become a masked vigilante. While we don’t recommend that any readers do this, we like the messages that the comics and films portray. Namely that doing good deeds and having integrity are qualities to be admired.
