It’s strange how whenever a cooking magazine happens to fall into the ever increasing heap of magazines in the ‘to-do’ pile, it always happens, without fail, to be around lunchtime.
Fine Cooking and the Special issues featured on this page are brought to you by the people behind a few other publications such as Fine Gardening, Fine Woodworking, Fine Homebuilding and Threads magazine (what were they thinking with that last one?). if you’ve read any of those, or the Fine Cooking magazine itself you will know the high level of quality you can expect from Fine Cooking Special issues.
Each issue is themed, such as the spring 2012 ‘Cook Fresh’ edition, covering ideas for healthy and delicious recipes including plenty of healthy fruit and veg. These are essentially ‘best of’ magazines, featuring a collection of the very best recipes from Fine Cooking that are linked to the theme, meaning that rather than having to flick through your no doubt extensive Fine Cooking collection, you can simply leaf through the pages of this special. Each recipe is similar in appeal, but different in form, meaning you’ll have plenty of great ideas to use in the kitchen from the same set of ingredients.
Now, to go rustle up a few ingredients and see what we can make for lunch. NB
