We love a sports magazine that remembers that at the end of the day its only a game. Many take themselves incredibly seriously, filling their pages with statistics and dour and gloomy features predicting the end of their sport, or worrying about how it will change for the worse in the future. The articles concerning players tend to take everything as life-or-death in importance, and you very rarely get the feeling that they remember that whatever their sport may be, it is actually probably just a bunch of players hitting, kicking or chasing a ball around a field.

Rugby League as a sport has traditionally been focused in the northern parts of England, but it is something that is quickly expanding and growing. As a result there is a wonderful sense of optimism surrounding it, coming from both the fans, players and those running the sport. Rugby League World is not afraid to take a light-hearted look at the sport and examine some of the stranger and more curious aspects of the sport.

We definitely believe there is space in this world for two codes of rugby, and long may that continue. NB
