We have to say that we were quite taken with this under-rated gem. It’s funny and intelligent and is most importantly very different from other literary magazines we have here at Newsstand. The poems and stories are amusing and often heart warming and will keep any fan busy for a good hour or two. The magazine covers a variety of different topics and often likes to discuss other genres such as music and art as well as literary work. Alternative bands and interesting musicians can also sometimes feature in the magazine and will often provide very interesting interviews. There can be themed issues such as special film and science issues which will explore these areas in its own unique way.It is the place to go to read something a bit unusual and read about a person or artist that is perhaps on the strange side but utterly brilliant at the same time. The magazine likes to look at contemporary writers and musicians as well as the well seasoned ones so readers can get a good mix of different features to keep things interesting. If nothing else we suggest you read this magazine for the monthly advice column by different guest columnists. The answers to the problems will be witty and hilarious and provides the readers with something totally unique. We particularly loved one request which asked the question: is it ok for a man over the age of thirty to play the French horn? We won’t give it away but the answer was pure class.
