An inspirational Italian language home and design magazine, Case & Stili (translated: House and Styles) brings a little bit of Italian flair to the world of interior design.

Each issue of Case & Stili is full of wonderful ideas for every room in the house, and even for the garden as well. It features some fantastic furniture, fixtures, flowers, fittings and designs, whether you want to beautify your bathroom or liven up your living room, and also includes a shopping section. This is shown off well by some excellent photography and colourful illustrations. It is, of course, written from an Italian perspective, so it might be difficult to get hold of some of the actual items featured, but it is nevertheless a great source of inspiration when styling your home.

Buy a single copy of CASE AND STILI or a subscription of your desired length, delivered worldwide. Current issues sent same day up to 3pm! All magazines sent by 1st Class Mail UK & by Airmail worldwide (bar UK over 750g which may go 2nd Class).

They say that a man’s home is his castle. Unless he happens to have a castle, in which case it’s his palace or something. Or maybe home’s where you hang your hat, although that doesn’t particularly work in this rather hatless world in which we live (bring back the bowler!).

What these rather outdated sayings were trying to get at is that whoever you are, your home should be a space that is undeniably yours. You shouldn’t compromise (unless it is to please the sensibilities of your partner – we’re not trying to start any domestic problems here) on what you want to have in your house based upon what others would judge you by. It should be like wandering into your own mind, filled with all the books you love and more. A home should be where you feel most comfortable – why not put an Italian coffee table somewhere if you fancy it, or a brightly coloured set of bean bags instead of chairs?

If you pick up a copy of Case & Stili you are getting a window into a wonderful world of high-class design, and if you like them, then go for it. Frankly, if we could we would make that first saying be true and buy a castle to live in, though that may require a quite substantial payrise. NB
