Resurgence is an interesting magazine which has a varied mix of features on ecology, alternative education, spirituality, sustainable development and the arts, as well as regular poetry, gardening and recipe columns and much more. There can also sometimes be themed issues which can look at anything from nature to transport. It says that it is ‘at the heart of the earth, art and spirit’. The magazine was started in 1966 and is still going strong.

We’ve seen a rise in popularly for magazines with a concern for sustainability issues and ecology. It seems more and more people are becoming aware of these issues and want to read some interesting features to help them make the right decisions when it comes to being ‘greener’.
The magazine is published by the Resurgence Trust which is a registered charity, Resurgence magazine tries to bring important matters to the forefront of people’s minds and works hard to make the world a more effective and beautiful place. The creators clearly see the beauty in nature and the world around them and there is a strong emphasis on learning how to protect the environment and in a way give back to Mother Nature.
We think this magazine has an admirable focus and perhaps if more people read more magazines like this, the world could be a more peaceful place. While this magazine could be seen by some readers as a little too controversial or different for their tastes, we’d recommend this magazine to anyone with an interest in being more green who like the idea of using art and culture to battle problems in society. This magazine certainly isn’t all laughs, but its message is a good strong one.
