Playboy is one of the top adult monthly magazines, full of colour glossy pictures, it also includes many articles and editorial features of interest to men. Playboy Magazine, created by Hugh Heffner, shot to prominence by combining current affairs journalism with top shelf totty. You don't need us to tell you about it...
...but we'll have a go. Playboy magazine isn't all about pornography and adult content. It really does have thoughtful articles and interviews of aspirational male characters and business men. Add to that, the cutting edge science and cultural reporting and Playboy provides an allround men's magazine that just happens to be liberally splattered with beautiful women and playmates of the month in states of undress.
There are several Playboy magazines available and in stock at Newsstand, from lingerie to themed special issues, have a search under "playboy" in the search bar to find them (and the buxom models within).
There's no doubt that this adult magazine is one of several groundbreaking publications out there, combining its two aspects so well. But what others are out there and what are the magazines that will be considered "seminal" in the future?
If you are looking for future collectables, we really must recommend Lula magazine and Dodgem Logic magazine (both available at Newsstand, of course). We reckon they will both be classics, but its not easy to tell. We recently noted that even a Vogue magazine from 1940 was only worth around £100...shocker!
