An absolutely gorgeous magazine – one of the most lovingly produced we stock here at Newsstand – Pop is a fantastic publication that covers the worlds of fashion, art, culture and more.
The main part of the mag is a hefty collection – this is one seriously sized publication – that shows off fashion collections from an array of different sources through some stunning, glossy photography. However, it is not simply a fashion-photo mag like so many others, as it also features fascinating written pieces on contemporary culture – music, urban scenes, art and more that might take the fancy of the trendy, contemporary lady. This is a pretty weighty magazine and is excellently produced, making it good value despite the postage costs.

When you think about it, Pop could mean just about anything. It is one of the most useful words there is in the English language, not least because of its hand role as a shortening of popular (on that note, we have always wondered if the existence of magazines such as Popular Woodworking suggests the existence of a smaller, even more niche magazine called Unpopular Woodworking… we digress). Pop could be a music magazine about, well, popular music. It could be a pop culture magazine. It could even be the journal of the World Association of Bubble Experts, but sadly that august institution seems not to exist.
So, Pop doesn’t exactly describe the magazine itself clearly. But that’s fine, because it perfectly reflects the contents. Pop is a pretty eclectic mix of lovely contemporary fashion shown off by some truly excellent photography, thoughtful and thought-provoking written pieces on contemporary culture, slightly bizarre art/design pieces and more. We might have to give up describing Pop, but we shall leave you with a recommendation that it’s really rather good. Mind you, you lot seem to know that as we shift quite a few copies, so be sure to get yours when we’ve got them in stock. NB
