What can we say about the ever popular Mizz magazine? It's full of beauty tips, style ideas, boys and horoscopes plus anything else of interest to the young teenage girl. Mizz also encourages it's readers to write in about their lives and these stories are often printed. The magazine is published every two weeks and is often in a plastic bag with at least one free gift inside.

Therein lies the problem, as at Newsstand we really wish magazines would be magazines - not make up, toys or even stickers. Amongst all the talk of being green, we find ourselves adding free gifts to all manner of magazines, when it should be the content that encourages people to buy and enjoy the magazine, surely?

The reply will always be: "It puts the sales up/our readers like it and it's all overstock product in any case." So the ball is squarely in your half of the court, good magazine readers.
