It erupts cool like a volcano full of icebergs. No, that didn’t make sense. Never ever boring, rather than being the heart of London, I’d say it was all of London’s serotonin cells at a rave. All we can say about Super Super! is that it’s freaking weird. No, that’s not all we can say – Super Super! magazine is the magazine for Generation Y, the next thing that’s so in it’s not even in in, it’s still outside of in, because it’s beyond in, it’s the future of in. We haven’t even got to the in that is in Super Super! magazine yet. Above, beyond, uber trendy, totally mental, this pixellated piece of genius is not just a report on youth culture, it is youth culture! With articles on subjects ranging from informative, like the latest fashion designer to create a buzz, to the extremely silly, like a series of photographs entitled “The Good People of London”, followed by 17 pictures of old people standing awkwardly about. Whoever designed this magazine deserves a medal, or possibly a protracted stay in a mental hospital. Super Super! magazine can be summed up by the words of designer Thom Murphy: “Humour is a valuable tool; you can communicate so much through it. Fashion seems to think it needs to be serious to justify itself.” It’s exuberant, ecstatic, and sub zero cool. It loves to be super silly. And sexy. Super super sexy.
PS Super is one of those words, that when you say or read them too much, they go all weird...
