We work in an office, generally, and we would be the first to admit we are not extreme sports enthusiasts...but we do know a good British magazine when we see one. Powerkite is a perfect bound bi monthly with loads of great articles on how and more importantly, where you can do your kiting. It covers the best equipment and the perfect kite spots from as far afield as New Zealand. You may not be able to make it there but still it's handy to know should you get a few months of work, not have any kids and have a few thou burning a whole in your pocket. Anyway, they'll even detail some great places in the UK to get your kiting fix sorted.
Equally useful information includes how to throw a backroll stalefish grab or even stomp a front roll tail grab. Superb.
Power Kite Magazine also has a good sense of humour, there's no point in our minds in writing a magazine without keeping it amusing as you go along. It's all about the lifestyle, so the editorial is a very important part of any magazine like this (well' it's an important part of any magazine..) and these guys do it really well. As well as that, you just know they know an awful lot about powerkiting and other related activities that would generally not be suitable for most of us sensible folk.
PowerKite is published by the same lot as PitPilot and Surf mags. Land based kiting is just one of their strengths - and you can get a look at the other water/wintersports magazines at Newsstand, some of these are difficult to categorise but you should have no trouble searching for activities in the search bar at the top of the publication page..
