There’s nothing quite like a magazine that knows exactly what it wants to focus on. Whilst other mags might try and cover too many different areas and end up being a jack of all trades, master of none, Maximum Carp knows exactly what it wants to cover and does so in some style. The incredibly in-depth information in this magazine will make even a beginner carp fisherman into a pro in no time, and help even the most seasoned of carp veterans to up their game.
Now, some of us have never actually gone carp fishing here at Newsstand. We have however done various degrees of fishing, and I’ll let you in on my very first experience of fishing.
I was down by the river one day, with a couple of friends, one of whom had an angling licence. He was casting again and again into the water, and had been for the best part of an hour with absolutely no luck. I may have, in a friendly manner of course, suggested that his technique was a little off, despite my complete and utter lack of knowledge. Annoyed and frustrated he passed the rod to me, saying something along the lines of ‘well, if you think it’s so easy, why don’t you have a go’. So I did. And, on the very first time I cast the line into the river, less than five seconds passed before I got a bite, and reeled in what was in actuality a tiny fish, but to me and my friend must have seemed a whopper. Needless to say, he was far from best pleased, and spent the next hour or so trying in vain to reproduce my success. Ah, good times. NB
