CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (black), and refers to the four inks used when printing in colour using the subtractive colour model. This means that every colour you see is a combination of some of these four colours, layered on top of each other. To get a different colour, one or more of the coloured inks are omitted from the page, and the remaining colours combine to form the colour you see before you.
Printed on matt, thick pages that feel good to turn, the materials used to make the magazine itself are as high quality as the content. Featuring fresh new faces in the art world, and dealing exclusively with photography and its subgenres, CMYK magazine is a great publication for anyone with an interest in avant-garde photography, whether they are an amateur, a student, or an emerging contemporary artist. With interviews from designers, illustrators and photographers, CMYK magazine can share with you the insider’s knowledge necessary to make it in the art world.
A directory of exhibitions and art schools also comes in useful, especially for those prospective photographers, typographers, and artists looking to develop their creative instincts into something more tangible.
