We love a good hobby here at Newsstand. Preferably something time consuming, practical, hands-on and resulting in an excellent finished product, and if possible something we can do with the kids as well (keeps them off the streets you know). Model boat building seems to fulfil all these criteria perfectly.
Part of the joy of model boat building, at least what we believe to be part of the joy, is the simple sheer range of different things to model out there. Whether you’re interested in building a miniature yet full functioning yacht, an old fashioned yet highly impressive wooden ship, a magnificent steam liner from ages past or a sleek and deadly military boat, you will find something to interest you. This means that the hobby can cater to all levels of interest, from a simple one week project to an amazing, years in the making recreation of some of the most astonishing ships to have ever floated. It all looks pretty ship-shape and Bristol fashion to us.
Now, to start that project of building a perfect, 1:1 scale reproduction of a luxury powerboat or yacht… NB
