A white dwarf, also called a degenerate dwarf, is a small star composed mostly of electron-degenerate matter. That may or may not have anything to do with White Dwarf magazine but it's a useful bit of knowledge to have at your disposal.

This fantasy gamer's magazine is packed full of your standard orks and goblins in various states of battle, giving the reader the latest figurines to hit the miniature wargames world. Remember though, white dwarf is all about the fantasy gaming side - there's no "jerry" here, old boy.

Dwarf will also keep you up to date with the various events around the world compiled by the Games Workshop people. It'll also list every model store worldwide - so even if you are out in the wilds, you'll still know where get hold of the latest War of the Ring Dwimmerlaiks (and let me tell you, you don't want one of those fellows at the foot of your bed).

It's a real community building magazine created by the aforementioned experts at Games Workshop, the negative side of this is that all the games and events are a little "in house".

That said this is a unique and extremely popular magazine worldwide. It's worth having a single copy of the magazine just for the reference information each copy contains. Each copy is perfect bound (which means it has a flat spine as opposed to staples...in case you were wondering).
