It might sound strange to some readers but The Ramblers do brilliant work for others, while walking may seem a strange basis for a charity to some people, it actually has a huge number of benefits and great advantages. Not only is it obviously good for your fitness, its also great for your mental health to get outside and get some fresh air. Walking is a great way to socialise and can be done anywhere with little extra expense. The Ramblers charity organises walks, fixes pathways and broken fences and gateways as well as protecting paths and open areas. The charity likes to promote and protect national park land and encourage others to get out and experience the very best of what the English countryside has to offer.

This magazine is ideal for readers who are huge fans of walking. Its one of those obvious forms of exercise then people probably don’t realise is actually really great for you. Walking from your car to your desk doesn’t really count though! We recall from our extensive magazine reading knowledge (we read a lot of them here unsurprisingly!) that Bruce Springsteen himself cites walking as his exercise of choice…and we all know how amazing he looks don’t we!

Our advice is this; get yourself a copy of Walk magazine, pick a pleasant route that takes your fancy, pack a tasty picnic and go for it! It’s cheap, good for you and will eventually make you look as good as Bruce Springsteen. We can’t really say anymore than that! If you still don’t fancy it, then reading the inspirational stories in Walk about how other readers have improved their lives through walking will hopefully make you get off that sofa and out into the great outdoors.
