Air and Space is only focussed on the US aviation and space industry. Readers shouldn’t expect much information on aircraft or other space equipment situated in other countries. This magazine is relatively short compared with others as it has around 80 pages. However the editors have ensured that they have packed a lot of information into the spaces available. It is for this reason that the magazine contains straight talking articles that are focussed and don’t contain any waffle. We think that the editors utilise the space in the magazine very well.
We found that the pages of the magazine are relatively thin without a hugely glossy finish. Nevertheless the articles and features are well presented in the magazine. The editor doesn’t seem to want to overbear the reader with over the top flashy presentation. We think that fans of the magazine will appreciate its simplistic layout because the content is really the main focus. The editors clearly don’t want to remove focus away from the writing with too many visual effects. What we liked about the magazine is that all the articles are very different. We were not expecting the magazine to have such a varied content. The different articles cover a range of diverse topics. We think that the reader will enjoy this magazine because there are enough different articles to provide a broad spectrum of opinions and information.
