One of those magazines where the title really says it all; Fabulous. African. Black.
FAB is an excellent African lifestyle magazine, with an almost unique twist. Working from the front (or possibly the back) you find women’s lifestyle covered; all the fashion, style, interviews, latest trends and make-up you would expect from a high-quality magazine like this. Flip it over however, and working from the back (or maybe it’s the front, we’re not sure anymore) and you find a men’s lifestyle mag, devoted to the style, clothing and everything else a modern man needs to look great. And all of it is accompanied by exceptional photography. You’re getting pretty much two magazines for the price of one, making this a read you can’t refuse.

Part of the men’s section of FAB magazine raised in our minds an important issue – men taking care of their faces. Now, we’re not going to suggest that manly men should simply follow the example of the past and care not even a little for the quality and hydration of their skin, those days are long past. In fact, if you want to look your best then you really have no choice, otherwise you’ll fall behind the rest of the pack.
Despite this however, can any man really justify spending £40 on a 30ml bottle of moisturiser? There’s a difference between looking good and being poor, and unless you can really afford to spend this much on your appearance – a 30ml bottle is only 5ml more than a single shot, which is frankly barely anything – then this just represents excess. But then, who are we to judge? For a lot of people, looking their very best is an important part of who they are, and it’s their choice to spend the money. It keeps it in circulation and is good for the economy. There we are, that’s some fine justification, so feel free to spend as much on moisturiser as you like, in reality you are actually helping the country through the recession. They should give you a medal or something. NB
