Weddings can be too formulaic. There. I’ve said it, now to run from the baying crowds shouting that there is undeniably a right way to do weddings. You might be right of course, I can’t argue that there is something appealing about walking down the aisle in a beautiful old English church. Nevertheless, we at Newsstand are firm believers that it is the differences that make us special (no laughing there, thankyou).
As such we like to see some slightly more unconventional weddings when possible. There’s no reason to be constrained by tradition; after all just because people have been doing it for a long time doesn’t mean something’s automatically right. A wedding is the absolute expression of a couples love for each other, and as such it should reflect the uniqueness of that pairing. Whether that means getting married on the top of a high bridge and bungee-jumping off of it, getting married in a tree or halfway up a mountain, you normally only get one shot at it with that particular person so why not make it a day that you will never forget for the rest of your lives, rather than one of a hundred nearly identical services provided everyday in this country. Be bold, and be different, but above all be happy. NB
