There’s a time and a place for everything. Obviously, the time and place to read magazines is not on a tiny screen that barely allows you see more than a few words before being rendered useless by the glare of the sun. No, here at Newsstand we are convinced that the future of magazines lies in a handy portable format that can be taken pretty much anywhere without fear of damage, that is highly user friendly, that doesn’t cost the earth and that can even be rolled up to fit into your bag,. We are of course talking about paper.
That isn’t to say we are luddites, fearing the ever increasing progress of technology as it shapes our lives in new and unexpected ways. Quite the opposite; we love a bit of tech here at Newsstand, there is just a time and a place for everything. As such, What Laptop Tablet and Smartphone is a great read (on paper of course) for anyone wanting to know the best buy for their money, and this is a great thing. After all, there are many things computers can do that other things can’t, so why spend your time trying to reproduce something that already works pretty much perfectly? And you know what? You could even use that shiny new computer to buy yourself a few subscriptions to some of the excellent magazines we stock. NB
What Laptop Magazine is in the Buying Computers category and is just one of over 3,000 magazines now available at Newsstand, to browse recent front covers of What Laptop Magazine, please click here.
