Most people will have some treasured memory of playing some form of Nintendo game system, and those who don’t are unlucky to have missed out. We’re going to hand writing duties over to one of our younger employees here at Newsstand to tell you about his favourite formative memories.
“I like the bit where you go bowling on the Wii. That was fun, coz I won.”
Ahem, no child labour going on here, certainly not. Maybe we’ll try someone slightly older.
“I remember playing Goldeneye on the N64. It was an expertly produced game, and was groundbreaking for its time, but perhaps my favourite memory is enjoying the multiplayer – nothing quite like shooting some of your friends in the head.”
Err, perhaps not the best message ever to convey, but we see your point. How about we try someone older.
“I remember when this was all fields.”
Ah, we’ve gone too far back. Okay, I’ll do some writing then. I remember playing the Super Mario RPG on the SNES, and being absolutely blown away by the seemingly 3D graphics, absorbing storyline and engaging gameplay. A true classic. Enjoy whatever games made you, and go out and experience some more – you may only be young once but that’s not reason not to enjoy yourself when a little older. NB
